”The framing of the Presidential Election as a contest between PAP and opposition- backed candidates is the ‘wrong way of looking at it”, said Presidential Candidate Mr Ng Kok Song at an event organised by the National University of Singapore Society, where audience members grilled him with pointed questions. Instead, Mr Ng encouraged voters to be looking at the candidates and see who has no political ties.

Mr Ng Kok Song took part in the Meet Our Presidential Candidates series organised by the National University of Singapore Society. The dialogue was moderated by Assistant Professor Walid Jumblatt Abdullah, from Nanyang Technological University’s School of Social Sciences. The event was shared live on Mr Ng’s Instagram page. He addressed topics such as protecting the reserves, and voting with one’s heart instead of one’s head.
