- Qipao Making Workshop (Top)
In this revamped NSA – Qi Pao Making Workshop (Top), you will learn how to draft a loose-fitting Qipao top with flat mandarin collar and set in sleeves with a pair of side slits.
As for sewing, you will learn how to sew piping along the edge of the mandarin flat collar and closure of a qipao. The piping would be sandwiched between the main shell fabric and creating a clean and precise border that frames the edges with finesse. The piping serves as a subtle yet defining feature, enhancing the overall elegance of the qipao.
In this course, you will learn how to use special footers (sewing machine) to ease the sewing of pipping.
You will also learn how to set-in- a pair of sleeves for your qipao with precision, adhering closely to the arm without constriction. The sleeve will gracefully outline the contours, providing an elegant and flattering silhouette.
As Qipao would not be complete without front closure, you will learn a simple and easy techniques to create fine loops for the closure.
The above details are carefully curated to enable you to showcase your newfound skills and expand your existing sewing repertoire.
You’re embarking on a transformative journey that will not only refine your sewing skills but also broaden your creative horizons. Get ready to create stunning, one-of-a-kind Qipao (Top) that reflect your unique style and expertise!
